از آنجایی که تنش‌های مختلف روی موتور، موجب تضعیف سیستم عایقی استاتور می‌شود، سیم‌پیچی استاتور و عایق‌بندی آن دومین عامل با‌لقوه‌ی وجود خرابی در (ماشین الکتریکی) است. اتصال کوتاه و یا مدار باز شدن سیم‌پیچی‌های استاتور و نیز خرابی‌‌ در مغناطیس شوندگی هسته، دیگر حالت‌های خرابی مرتبط با استاتور می‌باشند.
